DESCRIPTION: Long acting external paraciticide and insecticide for cattle. Caravanas ear tags are for the prevention and control of Brown Ear Ticks and Horn Flies infestations on cattle
PRESENTATION: Ear tags
INDICATIONS: External paraciticide for the prevention, treatment and control of infestations caused by external parasites such as Haematobia lrritans (Horn fly) and Rhipicephalus appendiculatus (Brown ear tick) on cattle.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For optimum control of parasites, attach one tag on one ear (one tag per animal).
The product should be used during high parasite burden/season. The treatment lasts 16 to 17 weeks.
Disinfect the applying tweezers before being used. Put the female button of the ear tag under
the dip. Put the male button of the ear tag on the other terminal of the applying tweezers.
Line up the male button with the hole of the female button in such a way that they coincide.
Put the plane surface of the ear tag facing the posterior part of the ear avoiding perforation of
nerves and/or sanguine vessel.
The tag should be taken out after 3 months from the application date to avoid exposing parasites to sub-lethal doses, which may increase the chance of insecticide resistance. Rotation of ear tag insecticide classes (containing diff erent classes of insecticide) from year to year is also recommended to reduce the development of resistance.
